• A. champlainensis or A. breviligulata ssp. champlainensis - Champlain Beachgrass. Native to shores of Lake Ontario and Lake Champlain. Inflorescence to 22 cm long; very similar to A. breviligulata, and no longer considered a distinct species by several authorities.
