Maienfeld is the center what is called Heidiland; one the villages, formerly called Oberrels, is actually renamed "Heididorf." Heidiland is located in an area called Bündner Herrschaft; it is criticized as being a "laughable, infantile cliche" and "a more vivid example hyperreality."
